By Manyang Mayom

Oct 9, 2006 (RUMBEK) — It is long journey to tour South Sudan States and fine out the education activities going on in all ten (10) States rural areas that compose the promise land of New Sudan for Justice, Freedom and all equal citizens’ right.

A Sudanese girl listens to her teacher as she attends a class along with over 150 other girls at Rumbek primary school in Southern Sudan April 19, 2004.

Education in South Sudan just focus on basic education levels indeed and join hand with few secondary school running the education in South Sudan with daily complains from they students that no libraries at all in South Sudan accept Rumbek senior secondary school laboratory which seems in dirty dust and urine of sallow birds.

The laboratory in Rumbek secondary was found in 2002 when the comboni missionary were admitters the education systems while government of South Sudan was in frontline defending the children and the country for the early 1983.

Since the garden of education was composed in South Sudan, there is no separate girls education” it just Rumbek Girls primary school and they others Girls primary schools in Juba including Wau whereby others State are not holders.

No more stream of University been build in South Sudan only accept the Juba University which was pullback to operate in North Sudan Khartoum by the Arab regime.

Lack of water and electricity resources is also great backbone diseases in South Sudan education entire including rather hygiene should be the priority for Sudanese people to do.

The School constructions are heavy underway to take-place in all South Sudan territories whereby now some UN agencies are conglobating helping the community by delivering the education materials with some education tools kits.

Objection is that teachers in South Sudan are not all qualify because war had abandoned them of which a teacher can not get excellent education and some of them join the SPLA early in 1983 to fill up rank and file of SPLM/A.

Girls educations in South Sudan is not active due for the traditional systems which focus girls are the created of wealth in South Sudan as well by marriage a one girl for almost 200 cows” then if you have daughters five (5) girls in the family you are consider a man of wealth and they entire society will respect you immediately.

In all the rural areas where some school are located you can wake-up in the morning and walk to school for 2 to 4 hours and street grass-side the road that can watered you of which sometime can course the Malaria to children with surprise incident of bicycles that can crushes the child on the narrow roads/way.
