August 20, 2008 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese president will receive Egyptian soccer team players on Thursday in honor of their achievement in winning the 2008 African Cup of Nations held in Ghana earlier this year.

The pro-government Al-Rayaam daily said that President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir will present the golden sports medal to the Egyptian squad including Coach Hassan Shehata.

Al-Rayaam also said that Al-Bashir will award the Egyptians 35 vehicles, manufactured at state-owned Giad Automotive, among other gifts. The cars will be shipped via Port of Aqaba in Jordan.

However Samir Zaher, president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) told Egyptian press that only players, head coach and his assistants will accept the gifts. This will effectively exclude EFA members in the delegation.

Zaher also voiced his support to Al-Bashir after the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo requested an arrest warrant for him.

The African champions on Wednesday lost 4-0 to their Sudanese counterparts in the warm-up match held in Khartoum today. This is Egypt’s first defeat by their southern neighbor in 33 years.

Sounds rhetorically as bribery to counter indictment, this is an exploitation of public resources. Indictment requires Bashir and his lawyers to go to court and defend the claimed innocence otherwise bribery won’t aid.

We have millions of Sudanese in desperate need of food while president is offering vehicles worth millions of dollars to those who have already overcome physiological need.

First of all you have to understand that the ICC indictment can not be blocked and it is beyond any state its politically standard, economical nor its memebership in Unation Nation, Even world’s super powers like USA and others countries can not cancel your indictment because some others presidents like Charles Tylor and others where arrested under the same
1593 UN resolution which does not exclude you because, you are member in UN.

So for you it is Idiotic to bribe Egypt,Russia and Arabs, just simply waste of Public resources that would have help in making roads and others infastructures in the entire nation.

Any how go ahead with them, but the future look so dark for you.

That is good news for the Egyptian soccer team and a bad one for us in the Sudan. We’ll hold al Bashir accountable in the future for the misuse of the Sudanese human, captial and natural resources!!!
The donation amounts to embezzlement of national resources coming out of Bentiu

It sounds so abruptly for president al-bashir of his egocentric ways of using our S.Sudan natural resources since his twenty one years in power. It was however in noticeably imbalance idea of bribing Turkish President, Russian government and his counterpart Egyptian, of our only and only, Bentiu oils as his method of using the allies to defend him not to go to ICC indictment.

To further this points al -bashir prosecution was mainly because of the human right ground charges of genocides recorded in Darfur and Southern Sudan. Al-bashir informed that your days of living in Sudan as a president are numbered, so you therefore need to change negative style ruling this country to fair freedoms go of expressing senses of human right. Otherwise you must go to meeting your most well known uncle in killing, Mr Sadaam in heaven.

Information to all dependents of president Omer Hassan Al-bashir, as you were watching the news of today, the guy was promised to give an award to Egypians team for his compaigning. mainly for two reasons. first thing is to win the election and another one is for him to be surpport by the Egyptians president to escaped the Indictment of the ICC.

for all of Sudanese people you can imagine, look at our president is wasting our resources for his compaigning and he still murder all over Sudan while he is already under arrest. you ask yourself, what for? and why? please spread anything going on here in Sudan to whole world. BMB

Sudan defeated the Egyptians in Khartoum so where is the logical behind awarding them with Cars!!!!
A congratulation cable to the President would have been better than this nonense.
Why not motivate your own footballers,if they do not deserve the cars after beating Egypt in the warm up, then leave them in GIAD that is what.
Do we all have that money to transport them, this means that this EXPLOITATION OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS USING IT FOR BRIBERY, CORRUPTION.
When we have DO NOT EVEN basic human needs.

Unacceptable, Bashir has acknowledge the coming together of Sudanese political forces under "new Sudan" and start lavishing our resources.

" Egypt is behind all these atrocities that we encountered here in Sudan at large. Let’s not trust Egypt any more.

is this gift meant to bribe Egyptian to defend Sudan al-Bashir from ICC arrest or it is really coming within!
Say, it is coming from the bottom of his(Bahsir) heart, isn’t hypocrite, as many of al-Bashir’s citizens are going with out food right now and he is shamelessly gifting such huge number of cars to other country’s football team! what a Charlatan!!

President Bashire or future ICC culprite is digging his own grave. He is so quick in damaging his reputation by buying dirty and meaningless support from Egyptian’s soccer team. That will not ease him from being arrested. The best thing I think he would have done was to seem asylum in Cario than honoring their soccer team. This will cost him support from Sudanese soccer and/or even the entire nation.

Mr.Bashire better for you to wait for your arrest warrant which is due in days to come in silent.
    Hell with Bashir!

Mr. Bashir has no sense of feelings at all. How can a country in which millions of people long for food and struggle to survive contribute 35 cars to those who earn enough to live by? Is this a man Mr. Nafi Ali Nafi call one of the great leaders of Africa? Is this the man we’re going to vote for in 2009? I doubt that. Yes, he can make a coup but I think the time is running out for these kind of mentally ill leaders.
