Inter-school sports competition kick off in Lakes state

August 3, 2012 (RUMBEK) - The South Sudan national senior secondary school sports competition began in Rumbek, the capital of Lakes state on Thursday.

Men’s volleyball - Warrap vs Benitu, Rumbek, Lakes state, August 2, 2012 (ST)

South Sudan vice president Riak Machar, visited Lakes state on Thursday morning and open the competitions.

On Friday the Warrap and Unity state male volleyball took place at the Ager-gum ground. Warrap won the match with three points to one.

Men’s basketball in Rumbek, Lakes state, August 2, 2012 (ST)

Women’s volleyball took place between Yambio and Rumbek/Warrap, which Yambii lost with zero points to three.

In male basketball held in Rumbek Freedom Square, Rumbek beat Jonglei with 47 points to 41 and Warrap beat Juba with 77 to 65.

    Lovely to see that late Commander Ager Gum has been honored for her fines services during SPLM/A’s life while in bush. And it’s wise that we don’t honored any ’Traitors’ no matter how they pretends before us? Else, Jonglei State must do something to stops loosing all times.

      Ager Gum was a saving woman not commander, she was just as others saving ladies in the army.

      As we all knew that, Ager Gum was one SPLA commando during the movement. People need honor every fall heroe who were taken by land.
      In sports, we need not to brings discrimination and jeolus in the sport in South Sudan. for those who using to discriminate people, they will be contine doing that, as our chances has come. watch out such practice, support your team as you know that the are doing good
