Addressing a crowd at the inauguration of a new stadium the Sudanese head of state vowed to support the youngsters and youth soccer teams in order to prepare them for world cup competitions.

"We will provide the environment so that we are represented in the next world cup similar to Spain" Bashir said.

Spain won the FIFA world cup hosted by South Africa last month and replaced Brazil at the top of the most recent FIFA World Ranking released on Wednesday.

"The next [world cup] final [game] will be between Sudan and Ghana....The next world cup will be taken by those dark Sudanese" Bashir said.

Sudan has never made to the world cup and qualified for the African Cup of Nations just once in three decades. It ranks 121 on the FIFA ranking of soccer teams worldwide.
