Egypt sending aid to southern Sudan for reconstruction
Khartoum, Aug 27, 2003 (MENA) — Egypt will deliver medical aid to southern Sudanese provinces on Thursday 28 Aug, as part of reconstruction and development of south Sudan, the Egyptian charge d’affaires in Khartoum said Wednesday.
In statements to MENA, Mahmud Izzat said the southern provinces coordination council officials hailed Egyptian President Husni Mubarak’s role aimed at achieving peace in Sudan.
Chairman of the council, Riach Kay, graduated from Alexandria and Zaqaziq universities in Egypt.
