Sudanese president wants all political parties govt
KHARTOUM, July 27, 2005 (KUNA) — Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir on Wednesday said he was determined to allow the largest number of Sudanese political parties to be represented in the new government.

He said that this was the best way to make such groups assume political responsibility.
Bashir had conferred, at the headquarters of the ruling party of the National Congress Party, with several leaders of political parties and their aides.
The political leaders, who met Al-Bashir said they had discussed with him “the make-up of the transitional government and what was required in order to implement the peace accord, which had been hammered out among political leaders earlier this year.
According to the accord, the National Congress Party should get 52 percent of government and parliament seats. The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement should get 28 percent of seats while the remaining opposition groups should get the remainder. This includes 16 for the northern opposition parties and six percent for the southern groups.
