20 killed in Sudan military helicopter crash
KHARTOUM, Oct 29 (AFP) — Twenty people were killed when a military helicopter crashed in central Sudan, an army spokesman said Wednesday.
The crash in the area of Umm Sayyala, in North Kordofan state, was blamed on an unspecified technical problem.
The helicopter was transporting 19 soldiers, including six officers, and a student who had been injured in an earlier road accident, the spokesman said.
