On July 9th, 2006 which marks the historic signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement that brought to end decades of struggle of our people for justice, equality, liberty, Peace, and economic independence. The CPA has given us our rights. It is now our duty to continue the march forward and fulfil the expectations and aspirations of our countrymen. Let us live to these challenges and make a difference in the lives of our people.

NCB takes this opportunity to salute our martyrs, orphans and widows, led by the First President of Southern Sudan Dr. John Garang de Mabior who paid the ultimate sacrfices for us to enjoy the peace. We reaffirm our commitment the flames shall remain burning until we achieve our objectives to live as equals on this God’s Earth.

We also take this opportunity to announce the opening of our branches in
– Kaya Border post July 17th, 2006
– Malakal on August 5th, 2006
– Renk on August 9th, 2006
– Awiel August 20th, 2006
– Raja July 25th, 2006
– Bentinu September 15th, 2006

NCB reassures all ten states in Southern Sudan that we will establish branches in those States before the end of this year and this will roll over to each county and payam. NCB is a people driven bank and shall live to the expecations of the citizens of New Sudan.

NCB is pleased to announce the recent appointment of the Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Charles Whyte, who is an experienced banker from the Standard Bank of South Africa and will add more value to NCB through his three years service contract with NCB.

NCB believes in in-company training of its staff, and therefore will be sending 26 staff members for 45 days intensive training with Stanbic Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa this month. NCB strongly believes in building the human capital of our people in order to create a generation that will handle the banking industry with competence in South Sudan.

We extend our thanks to the Leadership of the SPLM/SPLA for creating the conducive investment environment that enabled us to start NCB in the liberated towns of Yambio, Rumbek, Yei, four years ago, while the liberation war was ongoing. Today we continue to be proud of the support of the SPLM/A leadership, and citizens of SS who continue their unwaivering support, ensuring are expansion and forward development.

We also extend our thanks and appreciation to all the shareholders, accounts holders, and customers of the bank who contributed and defied the rules in the banking industry and made us proud today. We assure all that we shall never let you down.
