Birds of the same feathers fly together

March 15, 2007 — After the successful signing of CPA, the people of Goodwill in Sudan were optimistic that there will be diplomatic transformation in the Ministry of External Relation. One shouldn’t be surprise to see Dr Lam Akol, the architecture of Nasir Declaration implementing the National Congress foreign agenda.
I have read the infamous document of the So-called Shilluk international congress with great interest, but their blind support to Dr Lam Akol will reduce him to nothing in his political life. The authors of infamous document should bear in their mind that Dr Lam Akol is representing SPLM in the GONU, but not a community. I think the response of Prof Peter Adwok was clear to everyone here in Sudan.
People shouldn’t escape from the reality. After Foshoda Peace Agreement, Dr Lam Akol becomes an active member in National Congress. He formed the students’ movement called Modern Southern Front (MSF) in Sudanese Universities at that time.
MSF is getting finance, political and moral support from him. I can remember if I am not mistaken that he (Dr Lam) addressed political rally organized by MSF in Nileen University after formation of GONU when he became Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Dr Lam Akol and his associates like Telar Ring are threat to our historical movement SPLM.
The controversial personalities like him and his associates are undermining the SPLM political image in Sudan and the world. There is no justification to Mr. Telar to make confrontation with his comrades in the media if he doesn’t hidden agenda with NCP.
He is beating a drum of NCP in the presidency and we know all. We shall not allow any individual or group of opportunists to capitalize on the blood of our freedom fighters.
In conclusion, I urge the wise leaderships of SPLM to appoint the well oriented members in the coming reshuffling, the vision and principle of SPLM as a party is far away from them. The Chairman should take action against them in order to win sympathy of SPLM supporters in Sudan and Diaspora.
