Sudanese First Vice-President ends China tour
July 23, 2007 (SHANGHAI) — Sudanese First Vice President Salva Kiir Mayardit left China’s financial hub of Shanghai on Monday, ending his one-week official visit to China.
During his stay in Shanghai, Mayardit said Sudan would like to strengthen friendly cooperative relations with China and wanted to borrow successful experiences of Shanghai in developing its economy.
Mayardit arrived in Shanghai on July 20 from the Chinese capital Beijing.
During Mayardit’s stay in Beijing, Chinese President Hu Jintao and Vice President Zeng Qinghong met with him respectively, both saying that China is willing to help resolve the Darfur issue.
