The shooting came a day after a joint African Union-United Nations force took over peacekeeping duties in Sudan’s violence-torn Darfur region — but it was unclear if the attack was targeted, or a random crime.

“This afternoon, the American officer succumbed to his injuries and passed away,” said Walter Braunohler, the public affairs officer at the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum.

Al-Jazeera Arabic TV identified the American diplomat as 33 years old John Granville.

I PERSONALLY CONDEMNED THIS ACT OF TERRORISM IN THE COUNTRY.

America should know that this act is a reaction by the Sudan government over United Nation peacekeeping forces to Darfur saga,it is a well co-ordinated operation and undercovered operation against the US envoy as the Sudan government bitterly disliked the sound of UN peacekeeping force being taken to the Sudan.

I hope the American government will understand its stance in this incident that has caused the life/ lives of its officials.
When will the Sudan government stop harbouring these terrorists in the country? Since the begining of the Darfur war apart from the SPLA/M relationship with the US, and the saga of the international UN peacekeeping force deployment in the Darfur, there has never been good mood faces in the eyes of Sudan against the US government.
This has put the US government under the Sudan government classification of terming it as its enemies friend ( SPLA/M and SLM).

As a matter of facts, the SPLA/M has been singing a song of terrorists being hosted and harboured in the Sudan by the Sudan government, since the bombing of the US embassies in the east African countries of Kenya and Tanzania in August the 7th 1998; yet the song seemed not interesting to the US government.

Now the Sudan government has knocked the door of peace people with hate and furiousness over the UN peacekeepers.

This act must be stop by all means otherwise the Sudan government won,t respect the views of the international community over attrocities crimes committed by the Sudan government against its own citizens or civilians.

This is another way of trying to terminated the route to the truth of what the Sudan government has been covering up, on the other hand, this would have not happened if indeed there is nothing behind the whole deal.

What will be the reaction of the US especially now the Sudan Government proved its total disapproval and unwilling to receive the UN peacekeepers to the Darfur region?
And as a result, the US has paid the Price with the life of its loyal official, this must be stop and must be dealt with extreme attention since the killing was carried out in an act of terrorism, there are chances of the Sudan government denying its involvement in this incident.

President Bush must look into this killing with keenness because there is noway an envoy gets killed on the street of the country’s capital without the government awareness of the where about of the culprit or the vice versa.

Because killing was over a diplomatic issues and never over a sensiless matter otherwise the culprit would have been caught and brought to justice.

    This must stop oh Sudan.
STOP TERROR ACTS, STOP KILLING THE ENVOYS, STOP HOSTING AND HARBOURING TERRORISTS IN THE COUNTRY.
STOP POLITICAL GAMES OF HIDE AND SEEK OF YOUR OWN MESSES.

UMMER EL BHASHIR MUST ANSWER THIS QUESTIONS IN THE MINDS OF THE AMERICAN FAMILY WHOSE LOVED FATHER, BROTHER, UNCLE, NEPHEW, ETC HAS BEEN KILLED IN A COLD BLOODED MURDER.

WHY KILL HIM? WHY HIM? WHAT HAS HE DONE?

WILL HIS DEATH SOLVED SUDAN CRISIS?
