John Garang is the only rightful Sudan’s leader – Jonglei SPLM

March 18, 2008 (BOR, Jonglei) – The former leader of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement Dr. John Garang is the only rightful Sudan’s leader in more than fifty years, said the SPLM Jonglei sate secretary.

Antipas Nyok De Kucha said “The major causes of continuous suffering of Sudan citizens is due to rude rules set by unprofessional leaders,”. He was speaking at John Garang Institute, on March 14.

“The only professional person, who steps in the state house, is Dr. Garang since 1956. Others woke-up in the night with few guns and claim the control of the nation,” Mr. Kucha said, lamenting as “that is we are suffering.”

The SPLM secretary encouraged students to encompass all the skills Garang had and repeat his records. “Because you are related to his name, challenge the world the way he (Garang) did,” he said.

Dr. Garang, who was a native of Bor, died in Helicopter accident twenty days after taking the position of the First Vice President of the Republic of the Sudan and the President for the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS).

John Garang Institute, which is a branch of Free International University of Moldova, opened on Friday February 1, 2008.
