US to review ICC’s bid to arrest Sudanese president

July 14, 2008 (WASHINGTON) — The White House Monday said it would review the International Criminal Court arrest warrant request against Sudanese President Omar al-Beshir and urged all parties “to remain calm.”

“We urge all sides to remain calm. We will monitor the situation in The Hague and review what the prosecutor has requested, but we are not a part of the ICC,” said U.S. National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe.

“Sudan needs to stop the violence committed against its people, allow aid workers and the AU/UN peacekeeping force to do its job and to comply with U.N. Security Council resolutions,” said Johndroe.

ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo accused al-Beshir on Monday of masterminding a genocidal campaign to try and wipe out three ethnic groups.

“What happened in Darfur is a consequence of Beshir’s will,” Moreno-Ocampo told journalists in The Hague.

“The crime of genocide is a crime of intention. Beshir had the intention to destroy the Fur, Masalit and Zaghawa ethnic groups.”

Moreno-Ocampo asked the court Monday for an arrest warrant for al-Beshir on 10 charges of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.

It is the first time the court targeted a sitting head of state, and also the first time it charges anyone with genocide.

why US to review ICC’s bid to arrest sudanese president and not the UN security council or the ICC itself?
Does it mean that ICC prosecutor,Luis Morino was incited by the US?

What the USA meant by review? and why?.
US should standby the law as the head of the justice.
US also should face the reaction from terror, and to be perpare to fight, not to review what the ICC declear.

We respect US as a part that put his pressure to bring peace in Sudan, and US should defence the peace agreement and its concerne in the region, and defeat the terror, not to let them be strong again, after they were under run.

The rally that came out calling down down USA, don’t meant the opinion of Sudanese people, they have been push out by the regime to rally, and it is behaviour of the regime as the tactics of the foxs regime, and that does not fear USA.

We need from US to think that, muder, extermination, forcible tranfer, rape, torture, pillaging towns and villages, all ways of attacks on civilian in Darfur and Sudan, is crime against humanity, and US should be aware of that, nothing definitly to be review .

We know who can be the angle like US to protact poor people who live under Arab regime and hadler of Sudan.
The Isrealian people that wanted to be sweep out, found in Sudan, they are Black African.
The League of Arab will be on the coming saturday, the US will be watching
the result, what will be the result??
It is permission again to Omar Al-Bashir to fight the west in Sudan. and who is the west??Isreal and USA and Black African that protacted by the west.
