France denies any plans to mediate between Sudan and Chad
September 12, 2008 (PARIS) – The French government expressed surprise over reports that it offered to mediate between Sudan and Chad.
A French official who spoke to Sudan Tribune on condition of anonymity said that statements attributed to foreign minister Bernard Kouchner were “inaccurate”.
“There are no such plans. We fully back the Dakar accord signed between the two countries as a framework to resolve their differences” the official said.
Kouchner was quoted by Sudan news agency (SUNA) during the Damascus mini-summit as saying that France is prepared to host a Sudan-Chad meeting.
On March 13, Sudan and Chad signed Dakar Agreement, deal brokered by Senegal’s President Abdoulaye Wade. However, Sudan following a rebel attack on the capital Khartoum on May 10 severed relations with N’Djamena and accused it of supporting the raid.
However Sudan and Chad agreed on August 1 to restore relations and pledged to reopen mission in the two capitals.
Today the Eritrean president Isaias Afwerki today addressed the 5th Foreign Ministers Contact Group meeting on normalizing Sudanese-Chadian diplomatic relations.
The Foreign Ministers Contact Group includes Eritrea, Senegal, Libya, Gabon and the Congo.

First of all, where are the Damascus comes from? France depends on Damascus, Syria and they are anti-Semitists!, and can’t be deal with considering with Darfur! All Damascus wants is to paints Darfur as slave over West, as Haiti, and Jamaica crisis, but it isn’t belongs to the slave trade. Even though Creol generations of America can’t be steal the knowledge over the Fur generations. Think over the Iraqi Black never came from West African countries, but from Nubia and Darfur, so Bantu never exists in IRAQ. Senegalese has nothng to do with Iraq, and Eastern Arab continents as UAE, and Kwaits. Absolutery, they are emerged out from West to spy the East. David N.
