Sudan urges friendly countries to withdraw from The Hague court

March 4, 2009 (KHARTOUM) — Sudan has rejected the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) judges to arrest the President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir tody. Khartoum also appealed to international and regional organization to withdraw from the court.

Sudanese_protesters-2.jpgThe ICC‘s Pre-Trial Chamber 1 issued on Wednesday an arrest warrant for President Al-Bashir charging him of war crimes and crimes against humanity excluding the charges of genocide.

On July 14, 2008 ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo filed 10 charges: three counts of genocide, five of crimes against humanity and two of murder and accused Al-Bashir of masterminding a campaign to get rid of the African tribes in Darfur; Fur, Masalit and Zaghawa.

In a first official reaction to the decision, the Sudanese ministry of Information announced its rejection to the arrest warrant and reminded that it does not recognize the ICC jurisdiction on Darfur crimes.

The statement further said that Sudan’s relations, with the outside world, depends on its stance from this “flagrant abuse” against “the dignity and national sovereignty” of the country.

It also called on the African Union, Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Group of 77, to “withdraw any legitimacy misused by the court for political purpose.”

The Sudanese President is expected to make a first trip outside the country on February 10 to Ethiopia where he will attend a meeting for the Sudan Ethiopia Higher Committee.

Bashir plans also to participate in an Arab League summit in Doha, later this month.

The UNSC resolution 1593 which referred the Darfur case to the ICC mandates cooperation by all warring parties which would include the government as well as the rebels. Other countries were simply urged to cooperate.

UN experts estimate some 300,000 people have died and 2.5 million driven from their homes. Sudan blames the Western media for exaggerating the conflict and puts the death toll at 10,000.

    Dear Africans,
It seems the international criminal court is not concern with the killing of the black Africans in Southern Sudan.

The GOSS should come out with a decision, since the person who signed the CPA with Southern Sudanese has turned to be a criminal, now it is time for Southern Sudan to announce its independence from the so called Khartoum government.

This will give the Southern Sudanese a clear picture, who are behind the killing of the BLACK AFRICANS in Southern Sudan.

I think the Southern Sudanese are human beings, like the other human beings in the world, so they deserve protection from the international community.

The human right organization should approach the ICC concerning the killing of two million Southern Sudanese and displacing about four million by the government of Khartoum and their Darfur brothers.

If it is true that the ICC is not working for the interest of some Western World countries, the investigation concerning the death of Dr. John Gareng should continuor like that one of the former Lebanese Prime Minister.

Al-Bashir and all his Darfur allies have committed genocide in Southern Sudan, they should face charges by ICC, if there is human right on eath.

Unless if they are criminals like yourself then they will accept to withdraw. But too late mind about going to Ethiopia or AL for chance. Life is good but you misuse the lives of others why not yours. BASHIR OR BARSHIT, just shut up the ICC will eat their arrest warrenty as you have suggested like blind pig. People like Mugambe are the real African who strugle for their land from being dominate by aliens, but criminals like abshir has nothing in his political vision only terrorism.

Sudan urges friendly countries to withdraw from The Hague court
    To: Mr. Moe Montana

Dear brother, I will call you brother though I never prove you as a Sudanese as suggested by your nickname. I am a Sudanese by blood, heart and mind that dislikes killing of our fellow citizens in this vast nation. Can I hear from you that your president is arguing friendly countries to withdraw their support from the ICC because of indicting him. Mr. Omar Al Bashire, wah, wow to you. Who told Mr. president as commander in-chief to order his armed forces to carry out a scorthed earth policy of killing, raping, mutilating, burning of villages etc. I don’t think the ICC has a problem with Sudan.

Montana, don’t always look at one side of the coin, you first try to balance between the initiators, perpetrators and implementators. If you want to kill a snake you first hit it at the head to deter it from biting you. This snake has finished the Sudanese people without them having capacity to hit him at the head so the ICC intervene and hit him one and for all.

Did I hear president Bashire calling the ICC all sort of names from imperialist, colonialist, terrorist and enemy of Sudan. To say this, does president Bashire think that Sudan was not existing before he came into being? What does he think of himself and Sudan as a whole? Sudan is different from Bashire, justice is different from peace and there is time for everthing so here is his time to answer the charges against him. Under the law Bashire is to answer those charges personally as to clear all the doubts about him being considered a killer internationally. Mr. president you are a disgrace to the Sudanese people because of your actions towards them.

So, I argue Mr. Montana not to defend a criminal which is already indicted, awaiting only to be apprehended and handed to the court anytime from now.
