Sudan parliament briefed on census results
June 22, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese government today officially informed the national assembly of the census results weeks after they were released.
The Sudanese minister for presidential affairs Bakri Hassan Saleh told the parliament that the fifth census is a “unique” undertaking performed “with complete transparency and under international supervision”.
The total of Sudan’s population is 39,154,490, with 8,260,490 living in the south. Khartoum’s population is estimated at 5,074,321 followed by South Darfur state at 4,039,594; Al-Jazeera state is in the third place with 3,575,280 followed by North Kordofan with 2,920,992.
Saleh acknowledged that some areas including the South, Darfur and Halayeb (Egyptian borders) were not covered by the census but stressed that the coverage rate was 94%.
The outcome of the fifth census is now rejected by the Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) which requested a political agreement over the issue but the dominant National Congress Party (NCP) says that the southern Sudan ruling party has to accept the internationally monitored results.
But the Sudanese official said that the census process was “purely technical” with no politics involved.
In a related matter the head of the Central Bureau of Statistics head Yassin Al-Haj Abdeen was quoted by the official news agency (SUNA) as saying that the census results show that Sudan is a “youthful state”.
Abdeen revealed that 54% of the population is between the ages of 15-64 while those over 65 years account for 3.5%.

It’s a thing we all got confused of in Sudan to see this less census number. Look what it produced to Southerners during announcement of Sudan electoral board releases details of seats distribution(15th/June).
Anyway, think what would be good for whole “yes’ of Majority rather than minority.

Proof to believe it how badly Neur Tribe in Southern Sudan.
TO MR,Salve Kiir Manyardit and DR, Riek Machar Teny.
Since the Dinka and Neure have signed their peace agreement in 5 years ago,then we have been seeing all the times that, Neure people did not stopped on attaching Dinka communities particular in Bhar el Ghazal communities this is show that, DR. Riek Machar Teny has fail to informs all Neure communities in Upper Nile Regions to behave good rather than being always made aggressiveness to others communities around them. After the SPLM signed peace agreement with the Khartoum government in Kenya, we thought maybe Neure communities will adjust themselves like others communities in Southern Sudan unfortunately, they communities of Unity State went to attached Warrap communities many times while DR, Riek Machar Teny done nothing about this case same thing as Salve Kiir Manyardit did not tell Taban Deng Gai to talk to his communities.
Last Saturday,in this June 2009. The Neure Kuac community and Neure Gok community all went to Tonj communities attaching Lou Dinka community in the State of Warrap which the Southern Sudan president MR, Salve Kiir Manyardit belong to that State. This is the seven times that, the Benitu communities does this repeating attached in Warrap State in the Bhar el Ghazal Regions meanwhile most of Warrap communities have been disarming recently, because of their own clashes but my question to these two leaders I mention was that, why Neure of Benitu communities still attaching others Dinka communities? What does mean when people made agreement on such violent needed to be limated and Neure communities still repeating this things many time? DR, Riek himself he is from Neure Benitu community but when we look in to this situation, we see that this Neure Tribe will not understand the goodness of being one nation and one citizen at least people need to dealing with them because that is the only choice all Dinkas need to make it now.
The governor of Unity State which is MR, Taban Deng Gai have been fail to deliverying the full messages to his Benitu like Neure Kuac community, Neure Lieer community and Neure Gok community. Where is Salve Kiir Manyardit now? Last Saturday, all these communities I mentions have a cross the border and made attaches more than 908000 cows have been looting by all these Neur communities and they took these animals to Benitu communities. Many people left death in Lou Dinka community because they were not awared that, Neure will a cross their border to come and attach them. Can any one from other community belief that, Neure people will not understand of being a good neghbiourhoods and can you belief how badly this Tribe in Southern Sudan. The out side Africa nation were blaming late DR, John Garang de Mabior for faction in 1991 but the U.N Food program have experience when they fights just for food.
Any one from Dinka do you think Neure will not accepted peace? To me I don’t think Neure peope will not accepted to live peaceful with others communities at least people must deal with them and I think our people in Bhar el Ghazal Regions must take that message seriously, this is not a joke that, I am telling you the trusth, Neure will not obey Southern Sudan rule or peace with others communities so why we they Dinkas of Bhar el Ghazal braver are wasting time for what? Neure are not good in Upper Nile itsself and they are not good with Bhar el Ghazal , because they are bad people in Southern Sudan. Is there any one in the world will blame Dinka later if the Bhar el Ghazal people want to respon in the way Neure wanted in Upper Nile?
Where is Salve Kiir? Can you real think about your friendly Neure on the other hand you are losing your bravers Dinkas in this way? Well, we will see this friendship of Neure under DR, Riek Machar Teny who have been a failure to bring up his own communities for peace matter.
