Sudan says Ukraine training RSF fighters, submits UN complaint
October 31, 2026 (MOSCOW) – Sudan has conclusive material evidence that Ukrainian snipers and trainers are actively assisting the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Sudanese Foreign Minister Muhieddin Salem told Sputnik Afrika.
Salem stated that Ukrainian personnel have been training the RSF on the use of drones to target civilian facilities.
The minister said that some Ukrainian fighters have been captured or killed, and associated weapons have been seized by Sudanese authorities.
Sudan has officially recorded these activities in the United Nations Security Council’s records through its permanent representative in New York.
Salem also noted that during a visit to Washington last year, a Sudanese delegation provided the United States with evidence confirming the use of American weapons that had leaked from Ukraine and other areas.
The foreign minister warned that the ongoing conflict poses a severe threat to regional and international security.
He urged the international community to support Sudan’s legitimate national institutions, including the army, to prevent the danger from spreading.
The war’s negative effects have already begun to appear in neighbouring countries due to weapons falling into the hands of undisciplined groups.
These armed factions are exacerbating the economic crisis by smuggling drugs, fuel, and foodstuffs, which drives up prices and worsens living conditions.
Salem called for concerted international efforts to limit the conflict’s expanding regional impact
