November 30, 2009 (JUBA) – The First Vice President of Sudan, President of the Government of Southern Sudan and Chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), General Salva Kiir Mayardit, has registered his name for the upcoming 2010 general elections in Sudan.

Kiir who registered in Juba on Monday urged eligible voters to turnout and register.

He said he was disturbed about reports reaching him indicating that there are people buying and selling voter registration slips in Southern Sudan.

Kiir explained that some sell their voter slips with just 200 Sudanese pounds, and added that in Bahr el Ghazal region the selling of voter slips has even gone up to thousands of Sudanese pounds.

He warned against such practice of selling one’s right and urged the people of Southern Sudan to utilize the remaining 7 days of registration period by registering all the eligible voters and keeping their slips to personally vote in the elections.

    Kiir Vs Bashir,

Don’t just register your name but you be a candidate who is going to compete with Bashir why are you fearing Bashir???

Are you the one who instructed your Dinka boys to steal voter slips so that they could vote for you in 2010 for the South Sudan president?? That is very big NO if you are dreaming like that.

    Brother in Christ,

Wow, what a mistake by Kiir,

Are you happy that Kiir registered in Juba? I thought you as his fans should start to mourn about this big mistake by Kiir. Politicians even in US where you live wisely cast their votes in their constituencies.

Kiir is showing to the people of South Sudan that he has been disowned in Warrap state and is no more popular in his own constituency. What if he loses the office in Juba, where will he go? His constituency in Warrap will deny him by law because he has not registered there. They cannot even allow him to vote in Warrap state even if circumstances force him to move there before elections.

Secondly, if he registered in his constituency, he can also vote there and cast his vote for the governor of the state, commissioner of county, and MPs of the constuency for Khartoum parliament, Juba parliament and state parliament. Salva Kiir has lost all those chances.

James Wani Igga was said to have registered in Lobonok, his constituency. Dr. Samson Kwaje registered in his Wonduruba payam where he was ambushed. Rebecca Nyandeng registered in Twic East county, etc. etc. And it doesn’t prevent any of them from running the position of presidency. May be Salva Kiir did not understand it.

We will vote for him but will not pass. We in the Northern Sudan don’t want black Man to preside us simply because they blacken the Screens of TVs.

Thanks Comrade Salva Kiir for registering your Name in forcoming election in Sudan.

That election will make Southerners either to loose or Own Sudan as theirs forever.

The shrisperity of votes registration accross all regions in Southern Sudan need to be veto by Southern Sudan Authority plus the States government because if such remain practicing by people, then what is the need for election.

Are you not tied of being SECOND CLASS? Southerners.

Your vote will give priority and qualification as citizen of Sudan.

Stop Selling your registration, STOP SELLING YOUR RIGHT.
