During a meeting with camp’s traditional community leaders, women’s groups and youth leaders, Gambari reaffirmed his commitment and support to help bringing peace to Darfur and enhancing the security of civilians and IDPs.

He told the representatives of the camp, which located 17 kilometers south of El Fasher, he came to listen to their concerns firsthand.

The new head of the biggest UN peacekeeping operation has defined since his arrival last January, three priorities to restore peace and security in the restive Darfur.

Peace and justice for all and the early conclusion of the peace agreement through the negotiations in Doha; second, UNAMID must enhance security for the civilian population who are in need, so they can return to their homes. Promoting early recovery and development in order to move away from humanitarian assistance, is his third priority.

On behalf of the community, the head Umda, commended UNAMID’s efforts
in providing security to the people and highlighted the challenges
facing the camp including a lack of transportation, education and
health-care.

A leader for the camp’s women spoke of the need to repair their
centers and for the participation of women in the peace process. A
representative for the camp’s youth thanked UNAMID’s police community
centers for providing activities to 120 young people.

Gambari is traveling Tuesday to Doha, Qatar at the invitation of the Joint Chief Meditor Djibril Bassole, to participate in the signing of the frame work agreement between the Sudanese Government and the Justice and Equality Movement, Noureddine Mezni told Sudan Tribune.
.
He is also expected to hold an official ceremony on the occasion of the arrival of the five tactical Ethiopian helicopters in presence of the Ethiopia foreign minister and Sudanese officials in Nyala on Thursday 25 February.

The UNAMID official spokesperson further disclosed that Gambari will be hosting in Kigali, capital of Rwanda, a retreat of the special envoys to Sudan from the five permanent members of UN security council and EU to discuss ways and means to speed up the final settlement of Darfur conflict and to synchronize their efforts in order to realize this important objective
sooner than later.

    U.N.

More questions are remain to be ask in the future to come even if this criminal wanted Omar al Bashir got finally fial for relection in this year. Still there will be more and more doubtability to the U.N. The ways they have conducting this problem in Sudan on why not hastiy quicker in that case of Omar al Bashir and it was so necessarily when the indictment was already in the place., I can tell that hoping for U.N. To take action in the dictatorship governments particular, in Africa nations is very difficult and I think people should find some ways rather than hoping for U.N. For more than six years people around the world are talking about Darfuri problems and clearly under the U.N. Rule absolutely there is nothing happen to take action against the government of Sudan and its head of the State.

I belief the Darfuri Rebel, the reason why they signd peace agreement one by one like that is because they have no optionable to wait for the U.N. while both sides Darfurian people and the U.N. Troops are deying in that Regions, but they have to signs peace agreement just randomly even though they are not really sure what Sudan government will do to them, because the majority of Sudanese people were been waiting the U.N. To take good step against Sudan government unfortunately, Omar al Bashir did get pass and now he is campaigning for his relection while, he had disobeying the ICC Judges in recently. To me it is very hard to tell what went wrong and what is the weakness within U.N. Body.

Gambari; who failed in his mission in Asia; has to learn a lot from the lessons of his predecessors who intentionally put UNAMID’s facilities at the disposal of Khartoum and fought tooth and nail to push on the throat of innocent IDPs pro-Khartoum recipe of peace and eventually lost the trust of the victims of the War.
Furthermore, your priorities should not start with imposing Doha talks, rather than with, the pressing needs of the people on the ground which is security. However, any attemp from you to serve regime’s or Araba’s agenda you will lock horns with the dying people. Finally, remember, you are working in explosive mind field so do not forget to have your neutral mind sweeper.
