Telar’s arrival marks the departure of incumbent Governor Lt-Gen Daniel Awet who had lost his party’s nomination during the vetting and selection process held by the state’s SPLM Electoral Committee at Palm-tree hotel.

The incumbent governor will still serve as chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) at the party’s state secretariat office, while also remaining a member of the higher-level SPLM Political Bureau.

Deng, the caretaker governor, was at first received negatively, with some saying that he had been at odds with South Sudan President Kiir – a sign of which was his suspension in 2007 with his colleague Aleu Ayieng.

Telar Ring Deng was removed from the SPLM Political Bureau and the National Assembly by Kiir’s decree of December 4, 2007, which also stripped him of his membership in the party itself. Salva Kiir pointed out at the time that the resolution aimed at protecting and maintaining the solidarity of the SPLM. Later on Kiir revised his decision and brought both two members back into the South Sudan government.

“Will Telar actually serve Lakes state community in the interest of the SPLM to win the election in April as expected by the majority of Lakes across her eight counties?” wondered one Lakes state local politician. “Meanwhile, those incumbents in the executive posts are not sure on what decision the caretaker might take against them, whether there might be reshuffling or not?”

Rumbek Central County Commissioner Abraham Makoi Bol Kodi is ready to contest for a state parliament seat if the caretaker governor requires him to quite his office. Kodi said, “I am waiting for caretaker government’s decision – I want to contest”.

Last week, South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit issued out a presidential decree No. 19/2010 appointing nine caretakers governors of states saying that he was exercising powers conferred upon him under article 103(2) (d) of the Interim Constitution of South Sudan, 2005.

Lakes state caretaker governor takes over
    Makoi Bol,

I don’t thinks the caretaker governors have supreme power to demoted any person from his position. Their jobs is to stay as watchdogs prior to taking over of new governor who will emerged after the election.

If these caretakers do abuses or lost any of their tracks of caretaking to relieve those whom the hate from their jobs, then the flame of flash back will have any one to quell it down before the new governors reached them.

But here is one thing you needs to know too, just because their is an elections now and one wins, doesn’t means he or she had won christ on his/her side suck all the workaholic tax payer people without any impechment.

People are watching this caretakers very closely now in case they mistreated their powers to targeted middle class citizens who are working hard to up graded their families.

So don’t worry about Telar because he is not there to watch the elections candidates nor the SPLM members. His job is to takes responsibity of government assets in case the outgoing officials might looted them. Awet Akot is still the SPLM chairman to take cares of party problems, the state college elections committee are still under watching the way the elections is going not Telar Riing.

If you might just fear of your weakness and you wants to exited so soon, then that might be the case but don’t dirt the caretaker governor into that either.

    To Tellar Deng’s supporters.

By denied that Mr.Deng, isn’t corrupt. I strongly disagreed, with you guys for just one thing. Don’t let us covered our politicians with bads thing on them or you are just people who seek for assistance to get employe if when receive the office.

This man call Tellar Ring, you are praising is number one political animal in Lakes State. What make him good today? Is it because, of being appointed him as a State caretaker for this short period by the President of the Government of South Sudan Dr.Salva Kiir Mayardit. I suggest for the State not to have someone to be apartake in that point. Can simple bring an other destructive against.

I wonder why Mr.President brough this typical kinds of aggressive people into our State always and leave they right people out. It’s from rubbish to rubbsh leadership.

As a result, H.E Salva Kiir, the guy you brings in today was defected twice. In 1991 and 2007, and joint (NCP) telling shits on the media. Against SPLM prominent figure secretary general Mr.Amum. This shown Tellar is another traitor and nimby together as well with his best friends Lam Akol and Dr.Riak Machar. All of us (myself-including would love to believe that would just to consuming individuals public funds as other many more importance things. But they not choose to come into the government for the development only. You people of Lakes State I dare, be careful the current caretaker is just looking for the money only. Because, this one month period should not require any person to take over from outside people like Tellar Ring. Those whose their version is basically on the greedless to earn something. Without that they can’t survive at lest to tell something out to our enemy about future planning or long term one. Like as he said in 2007,that time there were been suspended with his close friend Mr.Aled Ayieny. That
‘the SPLM in Khartoum said is working for the New Sudan, SPLM in Eygpt is for unity whereas the SPLM in the South for separation.

“He said against that SPLM wants to confuse the country. Why don’t take one direction instead of telling different”. I guess there must be something behind betwen Mr.President and Tellar, why is he did all these unusuall things and has became a State caretaker now what a WORLD IS THAT!.
