NBGS: views reacting to allegations of rebellion within SPLA
May 4, 2010 (AWEIL, Northern Bahr el-Ghazal) — Just hours after completion of an interview with General Dau Aturjong, Sudan Tribune switched gathered public views and personal interviews with individual intellectuals, elders and Army Generals from the southern State of Northern Bahr el Ghazal over allegations of rebellion reportedly taken place in the state on Tuesday.
The randomly conducted interview landed on Major General Butrous Bol Bol Who comes from Northern Bahr el Ghazal. He expressed his appointment over speculations of rebellion in his home state. He said surprised by the news he termed as disturbing allegation without proof.
“Even if they do not bear any truth, they have disturbed and will continue to raise suspicions amongst individuals both in the army and personal level with politicians from within the area,” Bol said emphasizing he did not expect that such allegations would be reported from Aweil not because Aweil has never had records of rebellion within SPLA but “because I see no reason for rebellion”.
“We in Aweil do not have any problem with anybody in the south to rebel against the government;” he explained asking “why individual political differences would involve army”.
Additionally, Garang Lual Aleu, in Juba, told Sudan Tribune that spreading of allegations of such nature has profound negative effects on the performance and morals of personalities within certain institutions like in the army.
“When an army officer is falsely accused, he feels different from how politician would feel the labeling and acted promptly. Results of their emotional acts are always devastative and regrettable,” Garang Lual Aleu said.
Garang, who runs small business in Juba town, called on politicians not to extend their political differences to the SPLA. “Army should not be involved in politics regardless of who heads the government, he said.
Major General Chol Ayat who comes from the same state of Northern Bahr el Ghazal, in Khartoum also told Sudan Tribune that he had no idea of the rebellion reported to have taken place in the state. “I do not have any idea and I doubt whether it has taken place as well,” he said calling on state authorities to conduct thorough investigation to unearth truth behind this allegations.
“This is security issue and thorough investigation must be conducted immediately,” he said asking how come that such allegation goes to the public without knowledge of the army accused to have experienced rebellion. He also asked where rebellion has taken place and in which brigade in the state. Where in Aweil has this incident occurred and in which brigade, he asked.
Sultan Mawien Deng in Khartoum also called on youth to keep away from divisive politics and called on their leaders in all counties of the state to embrace activities that would encourage culture of peace and development in the area. He equally called on politicians never to instigate any violence in the area over their political differences.
Earlier, General Chol who had previously served as first post CPA deputy governor said he believes in the ability of the younger generation to bring lasting political reforms and sustainable development to the whole country. “One thing that is very bright and makes me happy in South Sudan and particularly in Aweil is that the generations that are coming behind are very promising,” he said.
.
However, he said one thing that needs reform in most societies are politics; he said stressing there is a great need to reform politics and the politicians. I am saying this because politics in northern Bahr el Ghazal have entered by all including school children, he said explaining that with all due respect, if Jesus Christ will come to the world and be the chairman of any political activity like elections, his results would be disputed.

NBGS: views reacting to allegations of rebellion within SPLA
Dear readers,
it’s very clear that those supporters of sensitive States of no laws are the one who want to create division among Dinka tribe. We can not be fools by our food loving because we always fight for the cause not because of power/ power greedy. Aweil is the most peaceful community among Dinka.
Obviously, those independent Supporters across the South are the one escalating these rumours and they are the one who attack the SPLA base between Upper Nile and Jonglei. The evidence is that 3 Nuer were captured during that attack and they said that they were ordered by Georeg Athor, how come?
Second, the Nuer vateren from Nyirol Jock Gai who reported join Athor has no way he can join him if the South is absence from traitors dieases. South Sudan has problem because we have traitors within the govermnet and they are the one fueling tribal division so that they will sneack into the problem.
SPLM must react immediately so that we findout what or who are involved in these division.
Thanks
Kur

Viruses like Lam, Bona Malual and their allies are the sources of this malicious piece of news. They wish for the destruction of South Sudan so that Jallaba will be happy and pay them money but we will prove them wrong. Only idiots and traitors are the only ones who can ask our youths to fight against each other. But our people have grown mature enough to follow blind leaders. We will never follow anyone who initiates war between the people of South Sudan.
