Federal ministerial delegation visits north Darfur
AL-FASHIR, May 14, 2004 (SUNA) — Information and Communication Minister Al-Zahawi Ibrahim Malik, head of a ministerial delegation visiting North Darfur, said peace has become at hand in Naivasha.
Addressing citizens of Kela area, Kabkabeya Locality, North Darfur State, the minister said when Sudan foes convinced with imminence of peace in south Sudan they turned to Darfur to break up the social fabric of these states.
The Minister has donated 60 million pounds in support of development in the area. Humanitarian Affairs Minister Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid said Kela area is example of peaceful co-existence.
Hamid called on arms holders [rebel groups] to put down arms and join building the nation.
