April 2, 2011 (BENTIU) – The government and parliament of the Unity state decided during the weekend to reject the deployment of 300 northern Sudanese troops in the areas of oil production to protest recent Bashir’s statement on Abyei.
The Unity state government held a joint council of ministers meeting with the state legislative assembly on 29 April to deliberate on the deployment of JIU from the Sudan Army Forces (SAF) and to discuss President Omer al Bashir’s recent inflammatory speech declaring Abyei as part of the north.

state legislative assembly to brief them about the policy used by JIU and SA.
After intense debate, the Unity state council of ministers and the state assembly came up with a resolution to not accept the step taken by northern government to redeploy JIUs troops in Unity state.
“We request the Government of South Sudan to provide quick solutions to this provocative penetration by the JIU from SAF, knowing that the rebel militias will use the presence of SAF bases as a forward position for morale, information and logistical support to destabilise South Sudan,” said State minister of information and communication, Gideon Gatpan Thoar,
“We ask the Khartoum regime not to use the out-dated Paluoc Resolutions to provoke hostilities in the oilfields ahead of South Sudan’s independence and demand that the Khartoum government honours the international court of arbitration [decision on Abyei,” Thoar further said.
The ruling parties in north and south Sudan respectively the National Congress Party (NCP) and the Sudan people’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) agreed in the Paluoc Resolutions last December before the referendum to deploy JIU form both SAF and SPLA to guard the oil production areas in the Unity state.
Thoar added that the process of South Sudan independence is guided by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement and that the northern army should no longer be allowed to operate in South Sudan because of recent developments including the SAF and JIU withdrawal, the expulsion of Southern MPs from the national parliament in Khartoum, and the numerous militias operating in greater Upper Nile region, which the government of south Sudan believes are being backed by Khartoum.

That is exactly the Unity State and its citizens must do it.We are all Southern Sudanese no matter how different lanuages we spoke we are one and no matter how much suffering we have been faces under Khartoum rules in 55 years that affected all none Arab in the Sudan, we will united at their eyes when it come to Southern Sudan and we must deal with Khartoum government by all mean. The statement which indictment Omar Hassan Ahmed al Bashir gave in South Kordofan State is not acceptable and even if there was no statement made by him still redeploment at this short time must not be accepted.
They have already rejected Southern Sudanese MP in the Old Sudan government saying, there is need to work with Southern Sudan since they already vote for independence same thing in the oil production areas the Southern Sudanese citizens should not accept none Southerners to redeploying their troop in Unity State nor others area for Southern Sudan nation. He was threating both South Korfofan State and Southern Sudan because of Abyei and the time for fear has gone since the SPLA/SPLM started and this is the time for all Southern Sudan to leave all nonesense of creating rebels and come back to fight the real main problem.

Khartoum is playing indirect invasion game and Juba is sleeping. I would love to see other States governors bordering North to take the same stand as Governor Gai has done.

The decision made to reject JIU was not made by the cowardice individuals. Instead, it was made by the brave Nuer Governor, H.E. Taban Deng Gai. The Dinka of Abei led by Deng Majiok did not resist Arab at that time as Taban does rather than give them land and kissed Arabs’ asses for the sake of food. Now we Dinka around the world we are crying looking for help from the mighty Nuer. So let be honest when looking help.

Taban Deng Gai is no win situation because allowing JIU back into oil fields has the security implications for the whole Unity states and Upper Nile regions. Therefore, let the Dinka fight their own war in Abyei!
By not also allowing them back also affects the oil production. which i wholeheartedly support since the oil is being used to enriches these Dinka thugs in Juba and Warrap, Jonglei states.
Production of oil must stop! so that our state oil won’t be used by these thugs in within these mentioned states.
