July 27, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – Sudan has donated close to $2 million in 2011 to provide humanitarian aid to countries in the Horn of Africa going through a severe food crisis, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported.

The UN body said that so far $1.1 billion has been given by the international community leaving a funding gap of around $1 billion needed to continue feeding the impacted population in Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia.

A wide swath of east Africa, including Kenya and Ethiopia, has been hit by years of severe drought and the UN says two regions of southern Somalia are suffering the worst famine for 20 years, with 3.7 million people facing starvation.

Sudan ranked 21 on the list released by OCHA of the top 30 nations giving money for victims of the drought and famine in the region.

With $1,788,000 in donations, Sudan was ahead of more richer countries such as Saudi Arabia, Russia and Luxembourg.

Sudan, along with Ethiopia, has witnessed famine of similar magnitude in the mid-80’s which led to the death if an estimated 1 million people spurring international mobilization.

South Sudan doesn’t need any help from the UN; South Sudan is where the money came from that were donated to Somalia.

South Sudan has the population of less than 15 million and it produces over half a million barrels of crude oil per day!

Only someone on drug would believed South Sudan would solicit donation from anyone.

Pathological hatered! Why should you bother if Sudan donated or not. What is your problem? I cannot understand! You are totally different country ,you do whatever you want, we are not bothered and we are not going to ask you, this is your bussiness, non of our concern.

In fact Sudan is now feeding one million southerners who prefer to remain in the jalabba country. The SPLA had requested to extened their stay in Sudan for another 9 months untill the RoSS is ready for them! I can tell you from now they will never be ready. One million who will need jobs, schools, housing, food , scurity is not a joke!

Stop this megalomenia and know your real size; and stop this hatred.

Be the richest and the most prospourous country on Earth and we will be very happy for you. The world was not created for us only to compete with you.It is too big and we are very happy with what we have even if it is too little, and happy with what we are!
