Strength of Darfur peace deal comes from its implementation – LJM

September 8, 2011 (KHARTOUM)°– The Liberation and Equality Movement (LJM) stressed today that the strength of the Doha peace agreement to end the eight year conflict in Darfur region comes from its full implementation by the parties.

A LJM delegation headed by its vice-chairman Ahmed Abdelshafi returned to Khartoum on, Wednesday to prepare for the return of its leader and to hold talks with the government on the formation of Darfur Regional Authority and it participation in the national government.

Speaking in a joint press conference held with the state minister Amin Hassan Omer who is in charge of Darfur file, Abdelshafi said that the strength of Doha peace agreement comes from the participation of Darfur people in power. He further stressed that the non-implementation of the peace deal represents a deviation from the interests of Darfur and the whole country.

LJM signed a peace deal with the Sudanese government in Doha on 14 July. The group which is formed from splinter factions from the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) was the only group to ink the Doha Darfur Peace Document. JEM said the framework peace document can be a valid base for talks for peace but refused to sign it.

Amin Hassan Omer, reiterated Khartoum determination to fully implement the Doha peace agreement. He further said that a technical committee is working on the new government that cabinet will be announced soon.

Amin warned the South Sudan government against interfering in Sudan’s internal affairs and demanded Juba to stop its support to rebel groups in Darfur. He added that with the new friendly regime in Libya, the regional change creates a favourable environment for peace in Darfur.

Abdelshafi said security and the return of the internally displaced civilians are at the top of LJM priorities. He added that his group considers that peace is the best strategic entry point to achieve many goals during the upcoming stage.

The UNAMID based Cease Fire Commission announced Thursday that it would hold two meetings per month. The commission, which is established in accordance to the DDPD, is chaired by UNAMID’s Force Commander, Lieutenant General Patrick Nyamvumba.

However, the ceasefire boy will seek to implement the different ceasefire deals signed in Darfur starting by the N’Djamena Humanitarian Ceasefire accord signed on 8 April 2004.

    Ya Amin Hassan,

Matakabasu nefsak ya sabi, naas junub sudan hindu kibira kuwes hum ayis wodik bel-majani assan bi-si-dak. Amin, I wonder if you really know what you are talking about when it comes to dealing with government of Omer el Bashir? I don’t know if you have any knowledge whom you’re dealing with? I want to warn you early, remember many have tried and they did not succeed so don’t think that it will start with you all of a sudden. You have no idea who these people are and what they will do you and your team after you settle a little bit. But for now I will say you are blind and you can’t see the future yet and how it will break in front of you. However, once that time have come, it will be too late to revers your thinking because you already made the mistake and you can’t change it. If I were you I will seek advices from the south Sudan more than anyone else because they have experience, knowledge, and tactics; which, they’ll want to give you freely for the shack of the future of the people of Darfur. Please if you are wise learn to listen to your black African and take any advices you were given because they know it will help you in your quest for a lasting peace in Darfur. You have tried through barrel of guns and it did not succeed, so you decided to seek a peaceful way that’s negotiation with the hope that it might work since there are uncertainty that comes with it. I will comment you for trying but trying alone is not enough you’ll need to pray and pray for a truck load of miracles to aid you to succeed to win Omer el Bashir and his clicks. Please don’t start making mistake which your predecessor have made while they were trying to forge a lasting peace just like you but it failed. If I were you I will study and learn the reasons why the south Sudan, Blue Nile, Southern Kordofan, and eastern rebels fail to get answers to their quests for peace, understanding, freedom, and justice with the government of Khartoum. So don’t think that religion alone will unite you to work together as a team. Know that you are black African dealing with these colored Sudanese of African descendants and they now called themselves Arabs although they know well deep down in their hearts that they are African of Sudan origin.

I have a piece of story to tell you and your comrades to consider it and to reflect back to the old days when the fight was more in the south of the country and you or your people have volunteered to help fight side to side with the northern government with the hope that your hard works in the war will be notice and recognize by Khartoum. Those were just assumption from your people because they failed to look at the whole pictures and where they stand as the people of Darfur. Believe me back then you were the mighty warriors this including those from the Nuba Mountain, Blue Nile, Beja, and south Sudanese as well who fight side to side with you hoping that they’ll commented. But 15-18 years later you have turned victims of the people or government you once help. Do you know why because they just used you and you have no choice but to take up arms again to fight Khartoum government for failing to recognize your hard work. Not that you didn’t work hard enough but it is because you were foolish and you were lacking the eye to see the future just like what you are trying to repeat it again.

This is a piece of my writing I posted in other articles and the same thing I am going to post it here for you to read it and I hope it will make or help you come into your sense. Because as of now you are not seeing it yet and you think that you have succeeded in your quest to achieve peace for the people of Darfur. The problem is little do you know what your setting yourself up to remember it is a trap meant to lour you into accepting fault agreement. The people from the south Sudan went through similar situation several times until they come to their senses and they asked for separation from the northern government which is the same thing you should be doing right now demanding for separation in the first place. You are too greedy for power and fame but soon you’ll regret it when it is too late. Amin Hassan, you know very that Omer el Bashir don’t give a damp who you since you are nothing for him you are just another fool thinking that he will be hard. Look at Minawi and where is he now. They make him feel important for a while and he later gave up because there was nothing valve about joining the government of Khartoum. Please listen to Minnawi or south Sudan for advices because the people have first hand knowledge, experience, and how to deal with Khartoum. Unlike you who know nothing and now you think that you have everything taken care off. Please don’t lie to yourself.
