Sudan signs agreement on development assistance with S. Korea
October 1, 2015 (KHARTOUM) – The governments of Sudan and South Korea signed a framework agreement on Thursday in Khartoum related to development assistance and offering grants for help in combating poverty.
The accord also allows South Korea to establish an office for its International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Khartoum.
The Sudanese International Cooperation minister Kamal Hassan Ali said in press statements following the signing ceremony that the agreement supports bilateral cooperation between the two countries adding that it will have a significant impact the on economic and social development of the country.
He noted that establishing an office for KOICA will open the door for receiving substantial assistance in the field of development as well as equipment and machinery to implement developmental projects.
Ali praised the assistance which has been provided South Korea to Sudan in the field of vocational training through its training centers.
