Western Equatoria: Gbudue governor sacks infrastructure minister
May 19, 2016 (YAMBIO) – Governor of the newly created Gbudue state, one of the controversial 28 states in South Sudan, has issued a decree early this week, sacking the new minister of Physical Infrastructure before she could take oath of office.
The state decree issued by Governor Major General Patrick Raphael Zamoi, read on government owned radio Yambio Fm on Wednesday relieved Jackcilia Ebere from her position.
Jackcilia Ebere did not appear in her office since her appointment in early March 2016 in the new state government. It was not clear why she boycotted to take up her position.
Major General Zamoi issued another decree appointing Anthony Moudie as the new Physical Infrastructure minister, replacing Ebere.
Moudie previously served as Director General in the Ministry of Gender and Child welfare and was transferred to the Ministry of Information and Communications and to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
