British Prime Minister Tony Blair to visit Sudan Wednesday
KHARTOUM, Oct 2, 2004 (SUNA) — British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to visit Sudan next Wednesday, where he will hold talks with President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir and First Vice President Ali Osman Mohammed Taha.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Nageeb Al-Khair Abdul-Wahab said in a press statement that the British Prime Minister would hold talks during his one-day official visit to the country with the Sudanese leadership on bilateral relations and issues pertinent to the peace process and negotiations of Naivasha, Abuja and Cairo.
The minister welcomed the visit of the British Prime Minister to the country considering it as an opportunity for consultation with the government and obtaining first hand information on Darfur.
