European Troika delegation to visit Sudan Wednesday

KHARTOUM, Oct 10, 2004 (SUNA) — A delegation of the European Troika, led by the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, is to visit Sudan Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail said in a press statement the talks of the European Troika’s delegation with government officials will tackle the process of peace between the government and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Nairobi and developments of situations in Darfur.

On the 5-state summit on Darfur issue that is to be held in Libya, the Minister pointed out that arrangements are underway for holding it in next week.

On the other hand, Dr.Ismail pointed out that the Foreign Ministers of Sana’a grouping, which comprises Sudan, Yemen and Ethiopia, will meet in Addis Ababa next week.
