Sudan, Central Africa Republic sign security protocol

KHARTOUM, Dec 19, 2004 (SUNA) — Sudan and Central Africa Republic have signed a security protocol that is to come into affect as of the first of January,Deputy Chief of Staff and Spokesman of the Armed Forces Gen. Al-Abas Abdel-Rahman Al-Khalifa said.

He indicated that the protocol stipulates formation of joint forces between the two countries to monitor the security situation at the borders, preventing infiltrations and combating illegal hunting.

Sudan, Central Africa Republic and Chad signed joint security agreements in the context of the distinguished relations among these countries after meetings at the summit level and the ministers of defense in the capitals of the three countries during the recent period.
