Vice-president inaugurates ports in Red Sea State
Port-Sudan, July 26, 2003 (SUNA) — The Red Sea State Saturday witnessed inauguration of a number of ports, services, marine telecommunication projects which link between Port Sudan and the Jedda port in Saudi Arabia.
The projects was inaugurated by the vice-president of the republic, Prof Moses Machar, in the presence of ministers of transport, information and communication, director of the electricity corporation, the governor of the Red Sea State, members of his government and the ambassadors of Ethiopia and Chad to Sudan.
The vice-president addressed at the Green Port square in Port- Sudan the inauguration ceremony, affirming the concern of the National Salvation Revolution with development, rehabilitation and realization peace in the country.
He said that the already opened projects represents an achievement of the NSR government, praising the efforts being exerted by the employees at the Sea Ports Corporation.
The Wali (governor) of the Red Sea State addressed the ceremony enumerating the achievements of the state, particularly in field of electricity and water services, asserting the keenness of the people of the state to protect its safety, stability and gains.
