Donors committed towards Sudan says visiting Norwegian minister

KHARTOUM, Feb 14, 2005 (Sudanese radio) — The minister of international cooperation, Yusuf Takana, has emphasized the government’s endeavours to implement the peace accord.

During a meeting with Norwegian Minister for International Development Hilde Johnson, Takana pointed out to what was agreed on, such as the reports prepared by the technical committees and those touching on the requirements of services and infrastructure.

For her part, Hilde said the international community and donors are committed towards Sudan in establishing peace despite the tsunami crisis.

The meeting also touched on peace in Darfur and the experience of the Norwegian minister in searching for peace.
