Vice-President lauds Libya’s role in boosting stability In Sudan
KHARTOUM, May 1, 2005 (SUNA) — The First Vice-President, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has lauded the role of Libya and its leader. Muammar Qaddafi for boosting the security and stability and development in Sudan.
This came when Taha received Sunday in his office at the Republican Palace the visiting special envoy of the Libyan leader and official of foreign relations, Suleiman Al-Shihoumi.
Taha also appreciated the distinguished level of the relations between Sudan and Libya in all fields.
The Libyan official has attended the opening session of the Constitution Commission.
He said in a statement to SUNA that he conveyed a congratulatory message from the Libyan leader and government over the actual implementation of the peace agreement in Sudan by the start of the work of the commission for the revision of the constitution Saturday.
He said that he discussed with the First Vice – President progress of the bilateral relations and ways of consolidating them in the coming stage of unity, rehabilitation and development in Sudan.
