Ethiopian poll body calls for submitting results in two days
ADDIS ABABA, May 18, 2005 (ENA) — The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) called up on constituency coordinators to submit election results to in two days.

Board Deputy Head, Tesfaye Mengesha said on Wednesday that polling station election executives should send the election results to their respective constituencies.
Meanwhile, constituencies on their part are expected to add up results of polling stations and bring to the headquarter of the Board, he said.
Tesfaye said those parties who are engaged in preventing the dispatching of election results to the National Electoral Board for trivial reasons would be brought to the court of justice
He said any party has the right to submit complaints on vote counting and get verdict in accordance with the law.
Tesfaye indicated that the election results broadcast through the media are only the reports of the respective representatives of the contesting parties from the various polling stations.
The final results of the national elections would be announced on 1st June 2005 after the results of the various higher learning institutions are added and approved by the board, he said.
However, the deputy head said, it should not be forgetten that harassing election executives with the intention of making change the election results would be liable to law.
The deputy head urged election executives to submit the election results on time.
