DUP-reform and renewal, SANU join Constitution Commission

KHARTOUM, May 21 (SUNA) — Co-spokesman of the constitution commission Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed announced Saturday that representatives of the Democratic Unionist- General Committee, Reform and Renewal and SANU parties joined the work of the commission.

Speaking in the daily joint press briefing, Ahmed expressed hope that the political forces which have not yet joined the commission would do so soon.

Meanwhile, co-spokesman of the constitution commission Yasir Arman announced that the commission will move on the 26th of current month to Rumbeik town to continue its session for there days there.

Arman described the move as has political indications that calls for optimism, where it will be the first time in modern history of Sudan the country’s constitution is formulated in a geographical area outside the centre.

He said it also means that the two parties to the peace agreement are working in harmony and cooperation on the issue of the constitution.
