Sudanese ruling NC, Federal Umma discuss partnership

KHARTOUM, May 28, 2005 (SUNA) — Secretary General of the ruling National Congress (NC) Ibrahim Ahmed Omer met Saturday at the headquarters of NC, with a delegation of Federal Ummah Party, headed by the Chairman of the party, Ahmed Babiker Nahar.

Leading member of Federal Ummah Party and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Najib Al Khair Abdalwahab said that the meeting covered the external developments and the role of the two parties in tackling them, particularly the visit of UN Secretary General Kofi Anan to Sudan, pointing out that a another meeting would be held between the two parties for consolidating their partnership.

Omer affirmed the keenness of NC on realization of stability, development and continuation of dialogue with all political forces, stressing the importance of unification of national ranks for facing the requirements of the coming stage.
