Petroleum centre wins British certificate of quality
Khartoum, 2 Sep 2, 2003 (SUNA) — Minister of Energy and Mining Dr Awad Ahmad al-Jaz [has] appreciated the Petroleum Training Centre’s winning to the certificate of the Quality by the British Standards Institution (BSI), saying that it is a great achievement for the centre.
He explained that the British Certificate is a good impetus toward more achievements and promotion of the capabilities in the oil industry in Sudan, explaining that the prize would motivate the workers in the oil field to increase the productivity and to attract more investors.
Addressing a celebration on this occasion Monday 1 September at the premises of the Petroleum Training Centre, the minister said that the aim of the Training centre is to increase the competition in the oil domain and to cope with the international developments in this regard.
Meanwhile, the director of the centre, Dr Imad al-Din Hasan Mustafa, briefed the audience on the tasks of the centre and the efforts exerted to achieving the British recognition and certificate.
