British minister for International Development visits Sudan

KHARTOUM, June 13, 2005 (SUNA) — British Minister for International Development Hilary Benn arrived here Monday on a two-day visit to Sudan during which he will hold talks with government officials on process of peace in Sudan and developments of Darfur issue.

The British official has commenced his visit by visiting Rumbeik town, where he discussed with officials of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) implementation of the peace agreement.

He also started a visit to Darfur to get acquainted with the security and humanitarian situations there.
