On Ethiopia’s Harrari regional system

June 12, 2005 –Let us invite the South African Heroes against apartheid to come
and umpire, compare and judge, if the current Ethiopian democratic
self-governing system, ethnic-based. With that of apartheid system,
old unjust South Africa.

It is deliberately misguiding and undermining the
intellect of the generation of Ethiopian student movement
and non-Ethiopian a like, these struggled and sacrificed against
apartheid before New South Africa.

It is timely we remind peace loving Ethiopian in Diaspora to revisit
history and facts beyond their ethnic background, about Harraris and Harar
and its
surroundings, it was only in 1887 that Harar was conquered
by Menilik,with the help of colonial powers. Harar had its
own kingdom, territory, and with well known financial, cultural
and educational institutions, Harare was the key regional power.

For these who have any Grain of doubt, Harare’s and Harare
will provide with documents and historical facts, that will
satisfy this generation as well as many generation to come.

it is fundamental and natural right for every nation or tribe, to be able
to govern themselves
in their original native land. Do not depend on their population Number or
any other factor. Every tribe and nationalities have their regional state,
for self-administration. Harare’s as a nation we have natural
and fundamental rights for self-governance in our native region.

Concerning corruption, injustice and ineffectiveness,
of Harare administration. The Harare administration has built Many schools
and local clinics more than any other time in the history of the region,
many
more water wells dagged in Harare and surrounding areas. Today number of
students attending
schools are more than doubled in the last 10 years, number of roads cleaned
or fixed,
constructed are more evident than before. Do not accuse our beloved leaders
with slander and lie.

Harare’s are very Known for their honesty and honour in their duty of line,
whatever they do from street cleaner to the minister. Let me remind you not
to open
the Gate of corruption and injustice committed, over and over witnessed
throughout
the Ethiopian history, Ethiopian people are aware of all corruption of all
times with
all its roots. with no exception to Harare’s.

It is timely that we accept the objective reality of regional arrangements
of Ethiopian federal system, people who preferred to live and work other
than their native region should not ask more, to control and dominate
natives,
using population numbers as absolute factors. Also mentioned about decent
Ethiopian
Adores, who are they ? it obvious that they are not decent Ethiopian
Harraris, these
are Aderes with no roots, born and breed with a kind of democracy
based on population number or Majority, no rights for native minorities.

Peaceful co-existence and development is only possible when the rights of
Minorities as
well as Majorities are equally respected.
