IMF mission to visit Sudan in August
KHARTOUM, June 27, 2005 (SUNA) — A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to arrive in Khartoum next August to follow up the economic performance of Sudan in the period of January-June 2005 prior to filing a report to the Board of Executive Directors of the IMF next September.
Coordinator of the IMF’s operations at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Amin Salih, said the IMF’s delegation will review the performance of different economic sectors, including the private sector, the Federation of the Businessmen and Employers, banks, investment, etc.
It is to be noted that a delegation from the IMF visited the Sudan in the previous weeks to open an office for the resident IMF representative in Sudan.
