Speaker of parliament meets head of NDA in Sudan constitution panel

KHARTOUM, June 29, 2005 (SUNA) — Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, received at his office Wednesday head of the delegation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the national constitution commission, Ali Mahmoud Hassanain.

The meeting focused on the current political developments at the Sudanese political arena as well as the atmospheres of peace and national accord following the signing of Cairo Agreement between the government and the NDA.

The Speaker of the Parliament said the achievement of peace and accord affirmed that the people of Sudan can forget the bitterness of the past and surpass the differences for the sake of supreme interest of the nation.

Hassanain briefed the Parliament’s Speaker on the contribution of the NDA to the work of the national constitution commission.
