Darfur rebel NMRD agrees to abide by accord with government
KHARTOUM, July 3, 2005 (Sudan Tribune) — Darfur rebel splinter group the National Movement for Reform and Development (NMRD) has said that it will abide by the agreements it had signed with the Sudanese government, stressing the importance continued dialogue, which it said it considered to be the best method of resolving the problems in Darfur.
According to Sudanese radio, NMRD coordinator Khalil Dosa Abdelrahman said Chad was still playing a vital role in providing peaceful and objective solutions to all the regions’ problems.
He pointed out that NMRD officials were making an effort to find ways of bringing about peace and stability for the people of Darfur.
