Sudan’s Garang lauds development in Upper Nile state
FLUJ, Upper Nile State, July 23, 2005 (SUNA) — First Vice-President John Garang De Mabior has described the development effected at Fuluj area in Upper Nile State as great work and an example of serious efforts to achieve development.

Addressing the Council of Ministers’ session held Sunday 24 July at Fuluj, Garang said the session gave a signal o the Sudanese people that peace had borne fruit.
Minister of humanitarian affairs, Eng Ibrahim Mahmud Hamid, commended in his intervention in the historical session of the Council of Ministers at Fuluj, the achievement accomplished by the government, including peace, which is vital for socio-economic development.
Minister of youth and sports, Hasan Uthman Rizq, expressed appreciation for the role assumed by the Ministry of Energy and Mining in boosting peace, development and services in the south.
Minister of foreign trade, Abd-al-Hamid Musa Kasha, hailed the achievements realized by the government in the field of infrastructures and development in Upper Nile State in the consolidation of peace and unity in the country.
Minister of animal resources, Riek Gai Kok, appreciated the great efforts of the Ministry of Energy and Mining in boosting development and services in Upper Nile State.
Minister of health Ahmad Bilal, on his part, pointed out that the developmental and services projects accomplished in Upper Nile State constitute a model for strong national will based on self-reliance.
