Priorities of govt of national unity include Darfur Eastern Sudan
RUMBEIK, July 25, 2005 (SUNA) — First Vice President and President of Government of Southern Sudan John Garang De Mabior has said that the priorities of the stage and the government of national unity include ending the crises of Darfur and east Sudan, expulsion of Lord Army from eastern Equatoria area and realization of democratic transformation by participation of all political forces in the government.
John Garang was addressing a mass rally in Rumbeik town Monday in the presence of Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan Salva Kiir and the administrative supervisors of the southern states.
He stressed the importance of engaging in comprehensive dialogue all over Sudan for realizing comprehensive peace.
John Garang directed the recently appointed administrative supervisors to head for their states, and asked them to give concern to rendering education, health and water services to the citizens.
The First Vice President affirmed that he would work together with President of the Republic Omer Al-Bashir and Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, reaffirming support for the Abuja negotiations between the government and armed movements in Darfur for realizing peace in the area.
