Sudan thanks China for cadres training
KHARTOUM, July 26, 2005 (Xinhua) — Sudanese officials here Tuesday expressed their thanks for China’s training program to qualify Sudanese cadres on economy management.
They made their remarks at a symposium here on evaluating a training program for Sudanese cadres, which was attended by senior officials from Sudanese ministries of foreign affairs, finance and international cooperation, and Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Zhang Dong.
Some 40 Sudanese officials and cadres participated in a training program in China from March 12 to July 14, in accordance with an agreement between the two governments.
Speaking at the symposium, a representative of the Sudanese Ministry of International Cooperation expressed his thanks to the Chinese Embassy for arranging the training program.
It has indicated the deep friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries, he stressed.
A financial planning official in Sudan’s Sinnar state Haidar Ahmed, who was one of the trained cadres, said he acknowledged the seriousness in work and good behaviour in Chinese people’s dealing with foreigners there, expressing hope for Sudan to follow China’s level of technology.
Ahmed Hamid Mohammed, another Sudanese official among the trained, pointed out that he was impressed by the advanced policies in China’s economy, describing the Chinese economy as “paramount”.
