Al-Bashir appreciates NDA participation in constitution commission

KHARTOUM, July 26, 2005 (SUNA) — President of the Republic, Omer Al-Bashir, has appreciated the participation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the work of the National Commission for the Constitution and its presence at the recent ceremonies of the Constitution’s signing and the oath taking of the Presidency.
This came when the President received Tuesday at the Guest House envoy of the Chairman of the NDA and the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani, Ahmed Saad Omer.
President Al-Bashir affirmed at the meeting the government keenness to realize stability in Darfur and east Sudan and to boost the democratic transformation in the country.
In a press statement to SUNA after the meeting, the NDA envoy, Ahmed Saad Omer said that he shared identical views with President Al-Bashir on all issues.
He stressed the NDA hope that peace would be realized all over Sudan, especially in Darfur, adding that the NDA will work seriously for the prevalence of peace and stability in Darfur.
Omer said that he congratulated President of the Republic over his taking to oath as the President of the Republic during the interim period.
