Most items carried during TV and radio bulletins at 1500 gmt and 1600 gmt were on the burial ceremony and the same was repeated on 7 August during the 0400 gmt and 0700 gmt TV bulletins.

On 7 August, state TV continued to broadcast at intervals of 15 minutes short video messages of the late Dr Garang. One such message says ” Al-Bashir’s government and Dr Garang’s government is now one”.

The programmes broadcast also focused on the life of Dr Garang and were often interrupted by the above message by Dr Garang.
