Aid body in $100m water project for rural Sudan

Aug 24, 2005 (Khartoum) — The Humanitarian Aid and Development organization has mobilized a caravan that contains water networks and equipments to a number of states with the cost of 100m dollars.
Secretary-general of the organization said that the caravan aims at providing good drinking water to rural areas, adding that the caravan comes as one of the annual programmes offered by the organization in water project fields which annually amount to 300mn dollars.
He also pointed out that the organization has executed, during the first half of this year, about 20 water projects in the states of Blue Nile, Jazirah, Northern State, River Nile and Khartoum State.
