Southern Sudan SMEs Business Conference

The SPLM/A/GOSS Secretariat of Commerce and Supply is organizing the “Southern Sudan-Kenya SMEs Business Conference” on 22nd and 23rd September 2005 in Nairobi, Kenya at the Kenyatta international Confrenece Centre.

The event is part of the Secretariat campaign on Business Opportunities in Southern Sudan and is a follow up of the May 12 Safari Park “1st Southern Sudan Trade and Investment Conference”.

The event key speakers include Dr. Raik Machar, Mr. Taban Deng and Angello Tiger Panyuan.

Major topics include :
– 1. Current status on Implementation the Peace Agreement and business environment since Safari Park Meeting on 12th May 2005.
– 2.Overview of Investment & Trade opportunities for SME’s in Southern Sudan
– 3.Creating links between Kenyan & SME’s in Southern Sudan.
– 4.Practical issues of setting up business in Southern Sudan- transport, business premises, housing, currency & more.
