Sudanese foreign minister to be appointed president’s adviser

Aug 29, 2005 (Khartoum) — Al-Watan has learnt that the present Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mustafa Uthman Isma’il, is to be appointed the president’s foreign affairs advisor, when he leaves his position.
The position of Minister of Foreign Affairs will be given to the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement [SPLM], with the most probable nominee for the post being the former Minister of Transport, Dr Lam Akol Ajawid. [Passage omitted]
